We can speak based on two different lines of Calico, one would have the melanic influence (Calico melanic), more or less marked according to the specimen and another would be a variety with much less appearance of melanin in its color pattern, becoming practically or totally devoid of melanism, which we will know as Candy Cane. Always bearing in mind that what characterizes the Calico varieties is a random increase of the color black (or white in the case of Candy Cane)
